Why choose Be Mountain Peru?
1. We know the routes of the Cusco region better than anyone
With more than 18 years of experience walking the routes of Cusco, and even discovering completely new paths, our knowledge of the trekking map is unbeatable. Do you want to discover the best archeological centers? We will take you there following the best route. Do you want to discover remote places of pure nature? We know the best hidden places.
We do not cover all the routes in Peru, but we are certainly experts in the circuits we offer.
2. Our service is from human to human
...and not from guide to client. We offer you trust, friendliness, good vibes, and direct service. In addition, we do our best to provide you with an unforgettable mountaineering experience, and to accommodate your special needs.
Our mission is to accompany, guide and share experiences in the mountains as tools for spiritual and personal growth. The mountain is a school that seduces you to love life by visiting mysterious places that have the power to evoke an intense feeling of the sacred.
3. We go at your rhythm, not ours
It's your trip, your hike. We're not here to run, we're here to enjoy the whole journey, take breaks, take pictures, and eat good food! We've hiked with people of all ages, from 7 years old to 75 - sometimes slower, sometimes faster. We adapt to your pace, and no one is ever left behind.
4. We work with local andean communities
We work with high Andean communities to help the local economy. For example, we hire their services as muleteers by renting their horses, mules, llamas; by hiring their cooking services, and renting their spaces as refuge areas for artistic workshops, etc.
We connect you to the high Andean culture of Peru by creating shelters in the highlands with the communities to exchange artistic activities, and for you to have an insight into the lives of the local farmers.
This way, you can be sure that your trek will make a positive difference in the lives of the local people.
5. Our ecological impact
Unfortunately, garbage and plastic are increasingly reaching the most remote places in nautre. Our goal is to keep these mountains as clean as possible, and to raise awareness amongst the villagers about their territories to keep them free of inorganic waste.
In appreciation of these beautiful places of pure nature, we are carrying out cleanup projects once a year in each site. In addition, we have reforestation projects in collaboration with environmental institutions.
Our upcoming project is to clean the entire route to Choquequirao together with local villagers. This represents 30 km of removing inorganic waste along the road and cliffs.
In gratitude and in retribution to this beautiful place where we frequently take foreign and national clients, the least we can do is to keep it clean.
6. Artistic projects
We are an innovative team and are including in our hikes art activities that help our human and spiritual development, such as bio-dance, singing, meditation, painting, yoga, music, etc. Stay tuned to our social media announcements to find out when the next arts activity is on the mountain!
7. Your security is our priority
Our record is perfect: in the 15 years that we have been guiding people in the mountains, every single person has arrived safe and sound at the destination point, happy and recharged with good energy. And that is, including hikers ranging from 7 to 75 years old!
Our logistics are impeccable, we have an emergency horse when necessary, and we take all the necessary precautions for you to enjoy the hike without any worries.
8. Low and reasonable prices
As you may have noticed, our prices are some of the lowest you will find amongst travel agencies. Why?
Because our goal is not to make a fortune. We love what we do, and our goal is for humanity to prioritize healthy contact with nature. We are nature.
The mountains provide us with an environment of high energetic vibrations that rejuvenate us and strengthen the body and spirit.
9. Small groups
We nearly always take small groups, ranging from 1 to 8 people, with an average of 4 people. This way we can go at a comfortable pace for everyone, without anyone being left behind. In addition, this allows you to have your moments of silence to meditate and connect with nature. In fact, many people go to the mountain to find themselves, and this is only possible with small groups.
